Our partner has 40+ years of manufacturing products for several industries including automotive, construction, utility, mining, logging, and other industrial industries. Their products provide superior value to the customer in terms of function and durability, which makes them one of the largest manufactures in their specialized field. We are currently looking for a Production Manager or Logistics Manager to join their team in Northwest Iowa.
Overview: Responsible for managing automotive parts receipt, modifications, and shipping of finished product according to production schedules. Coordinates with production lines and sales to ensure alignment with company goals and mission.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate departmental workflow and productivity in component prep/logistics.
- Manage component receiving and shipping logistics.
- Oversee “offline” product installations.
- Handle schedules, materials, personnel, and attend production meetings.
- Provide training and support to production workers; resolve work-related issues.
- Maintain production records and participate in continuous improvement.
- Ensure quality standards and lead by example.
- Follow safety and organizational procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree preferred, but not a requirement
- 3+ years of management experience preferably in a manufacturing setting so there is an understanding of process work flow, scheduling, production schedules, quality inspection, etc.
- Strong problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
- Mechanical aptitude
- Knowledge of customer/supplier relationships and production phases.
Supervision:
- Directly supervises a production team, ensuring compliance with company policies and laws. Responsible for employee development, work assignments, and conflict resolution.
