Title: Production Machine Shop- Quality Inspector

Function: Operations

Reports to: Chad Sumner

Hours: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Level: W1 FLSA Code: Nonexempt/Hourly EEO Code:

Summary: Performs inspection operations for emergency warning components, to support the Production Machine Shop.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Under minimal supervision, performs substantially varied and complex tasks

* Applies advanced skills to perform functions of the position within assigned area

* Adapts new procedures, techniques, tools, materials and/or equipment to meet the more complex requirements of the position

* Relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish assigned tasks and goals

* Serves as a resource to others in the resolution of complex problems and issues, and refers only the most complex issues to higher levels

* Knowledge of production procedures

* Ability to read and interpret drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, or reports

* Basic computer literacy

* Ability to work well under pressure and to meet multiple deadlines while maintaining a cooperative working relationship with employees and supervisor

* Understands and adheres to the company quality standards

* Maintain detailed records of inspections, noting deviations or defects found to ensure traceability and quality control Verify products meet industry standards, company policies and regulatory requirements.

Education and Experience

* High School w/1 + years' experience

* Real time experience in the same domain is preferred

* Use and understanding of measurement equipment

* Inspection of work to .0005

* Good computer skills

* Excellent attention to detail

* Other duties as required

Physical demands and abilities

* Able to lift up to 35 pounds

* Regularly performs repetitive tasks

* Regularly possesses manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together quickly and accurately

* Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
