LHH Recruitment Solutions has a Production Machinist – SECOND SHIFT role open for our client in the Philadelphia, PA region. Qualified candidate will have proven experience in machining such as waterjets, CNC, die-cut, slitters, and molding production lines as well as experience in manufacturing production lines! This direct hire role allows you to expand your machining career through supporting the production floor by meeting supply and demand and timely production and delivery to customers! This position is fully on-site and is a second shift schedule of 2:45PM – 1:15AM, Monday through Thursday.
Salary range is approximately $20-30 per hour.
Role & Responsibilities
- Sets up production machines following prints and specifications.
- Assigned machines may include lathes, grinders, mills, and similar equipment.
- Chooses, aligns, and securely attaches holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and other materials on machines.
- Takes precise measurements for cutting or shaping.
- Reviews drawings, instructions, blueprints or samples to ensure accurate production set up and disassemble the machines.
Requirements
- Industrial production machinery maintenance experience required.
- Proven ability to read pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical schematics highly preferred.
- Experience working in a Quality Management System such as ISO9001 or AS9100 highly preferred.
- Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma/Process improvement tools experience highly preferred.
- Experience in CNC programming and setup of CNC machinery highly preferred.
- Waterjet experience highly preferred.
- Expertise in all Microsoft Office applications.
- Exceptionally strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time management utilization.
- Ability to work overtime when needed.
- Must have keen eye for detail and ability to perform job duties as required.
