This position will report directly to the Operations Manager at our New Johnsonville, TN location.The Maintenance Coordinator is responsible to coordinate all work between production and maintenance. The Maintenance Coordinator communicates and liaises to bridge gaps and drive overall business-related decisions related to maintenance activities. They are responsible to make decisions and commitments to work groups regarding the availability and preparation of equipment, establish work schedules, prioritize activities of one or more work groups and is to ensure that work is completed as directed.The role uses their understanding of the maintenance procedures and the production area process to provide analysis, give instructions, plan, compile information, and work with the maintenance organization to coordinate efforts. Draws upon significant past experiences in maintenance and in the area to make appropriate business-based decisions. Has responsibility for assessing the quality, robustness, and capability of the process and making decisions with others to halt or modify production as needed should the process not meet the quality and/or safety standards. May have direct reports.The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Aligns on maintenance work with Production Leader (ready to plan and ready to schedule work in SAP)
  • Converts notifications to work orders and coaches on work notification expectations
  • Aligns on production priorities and equipment availability with the Production Leader and adjust priority of work orders, if necessary
  • Gains decision from Maintenance on work to be resourced internally or externally
  • Communicates maintenance activities to production organization to ensure proper equipment preparation
  • Validates acceptable completion of all steps of maintenance/engineering activities. Collects options, facilitates compromised solution discussion when activities fail to restore the asset appropriately
  • Aligns on schedule breaks with Production Supervisor and communicates impacts to scheduled work that will be moved outside of the week's schedule
  • Reviews work order and ensure authorization of additional costs as needed to TECO work order
  • Creates follow up Notification for new scopes of work (if required) for PL review
  • Coordinates shutdown work
  • Facilitates the daily maintenance planning & scheduling meetings to ensure plan for maintenance is on target for execution, aligns with Production Leader if work not to be completed per plan
  • Lead and manage area Equipment Integrity Committee (meetings, notes, documentation for PM changes)
  • Removes field tags
  • Manages backlog
  • Manages all area spares, providing input to spares/PMMA leader for site critical spares management.
  • Willingness to work abnormal work hours and respond to short notice needs
  • Ability to manage and organize high volumes of information to manage work accomplishment
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize work and work with minimal supervision
  • Understand standard procedures, equipment and materials related to the operation and maintenance of the manufacturing facility
The following is required for this role:
  • Proficient in SAP transactions
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of applications, particularly Excel
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritize and manage multiple, complex, time-sensitive projects
  • Demonstrated skill in leadership, team building and achieving results through influence and negotiation
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills. Must work well in both self-managed and team environment.
  • Self-motivated; must have strong initiative.
  • Demonstrated skill to diagnose and solve problems.
The following is preferred for this role:
  • B.S. degree
  • Management experience
  • Work Management Process (WMP) understanding
