We are seeking a Production Manager to lead a state-of-the-art food production facility just outside of Columbus, Ohio. This is an exciting opportunity to oversee all aspects of liquid processing and aseptic filling in a high-growth environment, producing premium protein shakes for a global market. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage daily operations of the liquid processing and filling departments, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency at all times.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts, focusing on human safety, food safety, and operational processes to achieve optimal performance.
- Develop and implement strategies to exceed departmental KPIs, including production efficiency, cost control, and quality improvement.
- Build and mentor high-performing teams, ensuring all employees receive the necessary training and professional development to meet operational goals.
- Collaborate closely with other departments, fostering a culture of teamwork and operational excellence across the facility.
- Manage department budgets, monitor expenses, and implement cost-saving measures to improve profitability.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and address any issues promptly by working closely with inspectors.
- Continuously assess and improve processes to maintain high product quality and yields.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in production management within a manufacturing environment, with a preference for experience in food or beverage production.
- Strong background in aseptic filling and liquid processing operations.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with a proven ability to develop, motivate, and lead teams to success.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement strategies.
- Budget management experience with a track record of driving cost reductions and efficiency gains.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in the dairy industry or similar.
- Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite and data analysis tools to support problem-solving and decision-making.
