Position Summary

As a Production Manager, you'll be responsible for impacting and executing the strategic vision for your team and for inspiring your direct reports to deliver high performance in a fast paced and dynamic environment for the night shift production team.

This position is integral to the growth and success of our organization and will report directly to the Senior Manager, Manufacturing & Logistics. Salary range $85,000 to $95,000 annually and is located on site at our Sunset Park facility and is for the AM shift.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive production targets of all Prose products, and manage our team of production supervisors, manufacturing associates and warehouse associates in our Brooklyn factory location.
  • Communicate and oversee daily production plans and schedules to the supervisors.
  • Communicate production results, challenges and delays to the Production Manager. Troubleshoot issues quickly and efficiently to avoid potential delays.
  • Provide mentorship and opportunities for growth for the production staff. Create thoughtful initiatives and events to elevate team morale and empower staff to learn new responsibilities.
  • Develop a 1:1 feedback process for supervisors and for manufacturing team members to ensure ongoing progress is evaluated and communicated as well as addressing team member concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Facilitate and assist with training of new hires. Provide support and resources to ensure a successful onboarding experience.
  • Ensure a safe work environment, in compliance with state, federal and local regulatory agencies, for the welfare of all employees. Report potentially unsafe conditions and conduct accident investigations as necessary.
  • Continually strive to promote Prose mission and values.

Ideal Candidate:

  • 5-7 years of successful production leadership experience in a manufacturing, distribution or similar environment (direct to consumer business is a plus).
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work, while remaining detail oriented.
  • Adept at the ability to motivate others in a deadline driven environment.
  • Proven history of owning quality and efficiency KPIs and driving them in a positive direction.
  • Experience effectively training manufacturing associates and making sound decisions in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to calmly manage numerous projects simultaneously, meeting all deadlines.
  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred
