The ideal candidate will own the entire production process. They will strategize with other internal teams to ensure operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Plans, directs and coordinates all aspects of production
- Follow the GMP procedure in place.
- Schedules furnaces and packaging needs, and makes certain all furnaces/packaging equipment is maintained and performing at their best.
- Uses lab analysis data to adjust furnaces and feed metal to meet customer specifications.
- Documents and makes certain that all raw materials are unloaded, accounted for and released within 24 hours of delivery. Contacts customers for bag or pallet returns as needed.
- Ensures compliance with all health, human resources, safety and environmental regulations, statutory and company policies and procedures.
- Ensures compliance to budget and production schedules, monitors production output and quality data, and oversees compiling of reports for management review.
- Keeps inventory of raw materials and production supplies, and orders production supplies as needed.
- Establishes and audits safety, health and environmental programs.
- Provides management overview and expertise in the areas of production, planning, scheduling, quality control, training, budget compliance, environmental compliance, maintenance, and safety.
- Establishes and implements recovery improvement plans that maximize company resources.
- Provides leadership that continually develops individual and crew capabilities.
- Compiles and forwards management reports pertaining to production, budget compliance, profitability, safety and employee staffing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 6+ years of production experience
- Strong organizational and managerial skills
