About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Production Manager to lead and manage the production operations at our plant. In this senior leadership role, you will be fully responsible for the execution and continuous improvement of production processes across multiple departments. Your focus will be on meeting client quality and production goals, while maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.

You will oversee production process mapping, quality assurance, staffing, and metrics tracking, ensuring all production supervisors, team leads, and members are well-trained and developed. This role requires strategic leadership, strong decision-making, and an ability to lead the plant toward achieving short- and long-term production goals.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing all safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintain open communication with the plant operations manager regarding safety and with the general manager regarding production quality and productivity.
  • Lead and manage the workforce, including hiring, firing, promotions, and other status changes in collaboration with Production Supervisors.
  • Oversee the consistent adherence to work orders and instructions to ensure accurate and efficient assembly of building components.
  • Strategically organize production teams to meet weekly goals, and plan for future production, staffing, and equipment needs.
  • Manage and communicate with supervisors regarding attendance and staffing needs.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and care of tools and machinery.
  • Perform other related duties as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older
  • College degree required preferred but not required.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with substantial experience in one or more production areas (construction, welding, electrical work, etc.).
  • The position is located more than 200 miles from the Tucson area. The ideal candidate must be willing to relocate to the Southwest Region.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting 40+ pounds, standing, kneeling, walking, and working with tools and equipment.
  • Mastery in one or more relevant production areas is preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage and develop production teams to meet or exceed goals.
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience in coaching and developing supervisors and team leads.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screening.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Comfortable working hands-on with tools and equipment daily.
