Salary Range is $140,000 to $160,000 annually.We are currently looking for a PRODUCTION MANAGER.As the Production Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating, organizing and controlling production within all manufacturing operations. You will report to the Plant Manager and lead the Production team. Working with 8-10 direct reports and 80-90 production workers, you will liaison with inter-company departments to ensure schedule attainment, availability of raw materials and quality standard are met. This role is located in Beacon, New York.A day in the life of a Production Manager can look like:• Creating Action Plans to defeat Barriers• Building a productive, inclusive, professional and respectful work environment• Managing daily production activities to meet customer requests with high quality products• Working with inter-company departments to achieve continuous improvement• Reviews production and operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operation delays• Reinforces good safety practices, investigates near misses and incidents and works to identify root cause with recommended solutions.• Injects quality into processes with focus on continuous improvement and well documented processes and procedures• Develops and revises SOP's and observes workers to ensure compliance with standards• Resolves problems and triages issues with guidance from HR, General Manager, Safety, Quality and other Ammega Departments.• Compiles, stores, and retrieves production data and manages daily management meetings.• Establishes goals by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating and enforcing systems, policies and procedures.• Develops staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting and training employees to facilitate personal growth opportunities.• Initiates and leads cross-training methodology to increase opportunities and add flexibility.• Manages and coaches Team Leads and Production Supervisors and works to influence team performance.• Administers and enforces company policies and procedures including timekeeping, safety and performance management, holding employees accountable.We are looking for you to have:• Bachelor's degree in business, engineering or related field• Minimum seven years of previous, relevant experience (Production Management experience preferred)• Minimum of five years of previous supervisory experience• Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma or 5S experience preferred• Excellent ERP, Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills• Leadership acumen- Acts as a role model, guides, develops and mentors others• Positive team spirit• Entrepreneurial and customer focus- Maintains awareness of and seeking to meet the needs of our customers• Ability to deliver what is promised• Drive for change and innovation• Ability to build relationships through collaborationWhat we offer you :The benefits of working at AMMEGA go beyond the daily work.
