Job Description:

AT3 Staffing is exclusive in a search for a Production Manager, for a fabrication manufacturer in Long Island NY. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with Management, Sales and the Manufacturing Team and will manage the work environment and schedule of operations to attain the Company Goals and Objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all fabrication operations including order entry, material planning, manufacturing, quality, safety, customer support, field installation and warranty claims.
  • Safety conscious with a proven track record of maintaining a safe work environment maintain compliance with governmental agencies.
  • Find and promote harmony between the production schedule and installation schedule.
  • Promote and implement processes to prevent issues from delaying projects.
  • Understand specific job constraints and provide and meet quoted installation dates and times.
  • Provide Customer service with clear directions on scheduling. Alter the production schedule to meet all customer needs and expectations.
  • Oversee all jobs from start to finish and ensure that all departments are maintaining their schedules and keeping jobs on track.
  • Ensure that the all template and installation teams daily schedules are manageable and feasible
  • Ensure that all manufactured jobs leave the shop at our highest standard to meet and exceed customer expectations.
  • Develop and recommend tactical and strategic plans for improving manufacturing operations.
  • Selects, trains, leads an efficient Manufacturing Team
  • Identifies and recommends costs savings and continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing area
  • Develops and implements team standards and procedures that support departmental standards
  • Able to lead and motivate team by creating an environment of trust and respect

Daily Duties

  • Management of Fabrication Employee Timecards and overtime
  • Management of Fabrication Employee PTO requests ensure adequate coverage
  • Interviewing and hiring and training for all positions
  • Manage inventory organization and accuracy
  • Manage and provide guidance on the installation schedule and production schedule
  • Determine which employees are going out in the field or staying in the shop on a daily basis

Education/ Experience/ Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5+ years' work experience in a manufacturing business
  • Minimum of 3 years' work experience as plant or operations manager with financial responsibilities.
  • Management/ Supervisory experience is required
  • Construction or Kitchen countertop material fabrication is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written required. Bilingual English/ Spanish is a plus
  • Knowledge/understanding of AUTO CAD and other similar programs
