With a purpose to make tomorrow a little bit better than today for each other, our customers, and our communities, Ascentek provides an environment where you can love what you do and be your best every day.What you will enjoy by being a part of a 2024 USA Great Place to Work certified company: A position that is: Hourly, Full-time, Mon-Thurs 5:00 am to 3:30 pm Medical Plan options, including fertility coverage and free mental health and telehealth coverage Dental and Vision Insurance FSA/HSA options Paid parental leave Company-provided short-term disability, long-term disability, and life insurance Supplemental Insurances, including accident, critical illness, hospital, and supplemental life insurance 401(k) with a generous company match Pet Insurance Benefits Tuition reimbursement 21 Paid Days Off 7 Paid Holidays Stylish company provided uniforms and personal protective equipment Paid comprehensive on-the-job trainingCareer advancement opportunities The Material Handler will receive, store, and distribute materials and products within a warehouse using a Warehouse Management System and supporting production lines.ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:Expedite the unloading of material from trailers, verifying item numbers and checking for discrepanciesReceives PO's using a handheld computerized Warehouse Management SystemReads Production Work Tickets to determine items to be picked and staged in the Work Order staging areaParticipate in daily cycle counting programPick and stage orders by interpreting customer-specific work instructionsAdhering to the company's safety standards and enforcing safety regulationsMaintain clean and orderly work area and warehouseResponsible for the accuracy of all system transactionsVerify that the quality of outbound loads meets customer expectationsResponsible for adhering to and maintaining the company's ISO standardsEducation:High School Diploma or GED Experience/Training:A minimum of 4 years of forklift operations experience and trainingExperience using a computerized Warehouse Management SystemMust have good command of the English language and the ability to read and understand written instructionsAbility to perform basic mathematical calculations in order to accurately complete job tasksAbility to effectively communicate with co-workers to aid in satisfying customer requirementsAbility to organize and prioritize job tasks and requirementsAbility to interpret a variety of instructions furnished written or orally in EnglishAbility to use basic tools, various material handler equipment, and hand-held scannersMust exhibit promptness and attention to detail PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS:This position requires frequent lifting up to 75 pounds, climbing and bending. Employee must be able to deal with multiple assignments and work well under pressure. Protective clothing is required for this position which includes steel toed shoes, gloves and safety glasses. The mental and physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.WORKING ENVIRONMENT:This position is in a loud environment with minimal heating or air conditioning.
