Location: all cities,MA, USA
**Job Description:**
The plant processes raw ores into fine material used for a variety of different products such as sandpaper.
As a production material handler, you will operate the grinding machines and handle materials using sit-down propane forklifts.
Youwill work with a team of about 10 people to operate the plant's machines, fill, transport, and palletize the material into drums or large bags, using either forklifts or by hand depending on the size.
Additionally, you will monitor the machines for issues or contamination and periodically use different hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and mallets.
**Hard Skills:**
+ Basic computer and math skills
+ Basic tool experience (wrenches, screwdrivers, mallets)
+ Minimum 1 year machine operating experience
+ Able to lift up to 50lbs
+ Experience with or willingness to learn forklift operation
**Hours& Pay:**
1st shift: Monday-Thursday, 5 am to 3 pm (sometimes required work on Fridays) --- 20-23/hr. depending on experience.
2nd shift: Monday-Thursday, 3pm-1am (occasional required work on Fridays) --- 22-25/hr. depending on experience.
**Work Environment:**
Manufacturing environment, not temperature controlled, so it can get hot in the summer and cold in the winter. Can also sometimes get dusty from the material, so you need to be comfortable with that.
