Production Operator for molding and assembly - 1st and 3rd shift

Job purpose* A QMA 1 is responsible for operating one or more plastic injection molding machines or auxiliary equipment. QMA will inspect, perform value added work and pack parts accordingly.Duties and responsibilities* Safely perform assigned tasks completely and efficiently. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.* Understand and follow the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)* Complete shift/press paperwork as required* Ability to walk medium distances within press cycle times* Comply with department policies, procedures and work instructions including the TASUS Quality Management System* Must be able to take directions well.* Participate in monthly meetings and TPS projects.* Must be able to solve problems.Qualifications* High School Diploma or equivalent* Ability to work in team environment and maintain positive attitude* Ability to work in a safe manner and follow safety policies and procedures* Good attention to detailWorking conditions* Manufacturing environment where Personal Protective Equipment is required.* Eight hours shifts, mandatory overtime when requiredPhysical requirements* Standing for long periods of time* Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally maneuver up to 40 pounds.* Must be able to occasionally reach, bend, kneel and squat.
