Job Summary:The Production Operator I is responsible for transforming raw materials into finished goods, maintaining component flow, and ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards. This role involves performing changeovers, setups, and quality checks as per production schedules and documenting results in alignment with established procedures. Each team member is accountable for upholding housekeeping standards and following environmental health and safety (EH&S) policies.
Key Responsibilities:- Pack and kit orders according to customer specifications, ensuring accuracy, speed, and quality.
- Operate minor equipment such as auto baggers and weighers.
- Perform sorting, picking, and selection of required materials.
- Meet productivity, quality, and cost performance targets.
- Register transactions using a barcode scanner/computer system.
- Handle materials and packaging, including the operation of a pallet jack.
- Conduct accurate physical counts to resolve material quantity discrepancies.
- Engage in proactive teamwork to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
Required Qualifications:- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- 0-2 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to operate minor equipment and perform material handling tasks.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience with kitting or packing in a production setting.
- Familiarity with barcode scanning and inventory tracking systems.
