Here, you will make an impact by:Work at various machines or stations assembling product or operating machinery, picking and/or packaging finished goods, and/or inspecting productsUse computers as needed to run process operation, input data, update inventory, etcFollow operating procedures and customer specifications to produce quality products which are delivered to customer on timeResponsible for cross training and operating the mixing equipment, and/or tripper floor within the coloring department, operating in C&S (Screen changes, Quality Test, etc.) and in the shipping departmentOnce training completed in shipping, you will be put into weekend rotation for shipping coverageSome duties will include (but not limited to), provide break relief for the other team members, when possible, perform and analyze results of standard and non-standard test on manufacturing process and make appropriate decisionsPerform visual inspections and preventative maintenance on conveyors and housekeeping dutiesInteract and communicate with other team members regarding processAbility to operate computer keyboard, sampling, splitting & grading equipment at a consistently high level of accuracyMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs, work at heights, walk/climb steps and laddersEmployee must be able to see various colors and distinguish between colorsOperate powered mobile equipment in tight quartersYour Skills and ExpertiseTo set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher completed and verified prior to start6 months of manufacturing experienceMust be able to work a flexible schedule and overtime as neededAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:1 year of manufacturing experienceWork location: Onsite – Moncure, North CarolinaRelocation Assistance: Not AuthorizedMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Supporting Your Well-being3M offers many programs to help you live your best life – both physically and financially.
