DescriptionEpsilyte in Peru, IL is seeking a Production Operator to become part of our Operations team. If you are looking for a career move with a bright future, we need to hear from you!Position Duties/Responsibilities:Monitor and control five chemical batch reactors through computerized systemMeasure chemicals and add to processPerform housekeeping and maintain a safe working environmentAdhere to all plant safety and environmental guidelines and proceduresOperate reactors and equipment to expected performance levelsWork in a team environment where your contributions are encouraged, recognized, and valuedAny other duties as deemed necessaryRequirementsQualifications:High school diploma or equivalentAssociate degree or Certificate in related technical field is preferredThis role is scheduled for rotating 12-hour shifts. Must be able and available to work days, nights, overtime, weekends, and holidaysRelated work experience in chemical plant, industrial/manufacturing, or military is preferredThe ideal applicant will be proficient in math, reading comprehension, and mechanical reasoning with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Able to follow detailed instructions and record precise chemical process information.Demonstrated computer proficiency is requiredOther Considerations:Current starting rate is $30.99/hour with annual contractual increasesPhysical requirements - Must be able to walk/stand/bend/stoop, raise and transport items weighing up to 50 pounds, climb stairs and ladders. Wearing personal protective equipment (FR clothing, hard hat, safety glasses, heeled boots and hearing protection) including the use of a respirator is required.
