Job Description:
OverviewProductor Operator Blender uses equipment such as a dolly to load, unload, and transport material, assisting with manufacturing, packaging, and other steps along a production line.This position is labor intensive, with a strong element of manual labor and a steady work pace required to support the smooth and continuous flow of production. Work is performed in a non-climate controlled environment, with both internal and external activities.The current schedule is 12-hour shifts, with a rotating shift change from day shift to night shift every 2 weeks.One week has 3 scheduled days followed by the second week with 4 scheduled days.Overtime is scheduled as required.Starting pay at $17.50/hr. and progressing to over $22.00/hr. in the first yearMajor Position ResponsibilitiesMust gain thorough knowledge of all operating and safety procedures. Tasks that may be required, but not limited to:Transport samples, raw materials, and supplies.* Transport product by using a hand dolly and powder van (truck).* Maintain operating log, prepare labels as required, and accurately record information.* Operate pneumatic and other required tools.* Operate hoisting equipment.* Participate in Hazmat/Fire Brigade.* Drive tractor-trailer rig to move NC trailers, and other tasks as assigned.* Bending, climbing stairs and ladders, reaching above shoulder level.* Repetitive pushing & trucking of up to 210 pounds and lifting of up to 55 pounds.* Finger, hand, and other physical dexterity required.* Must be able to work 12-hour shifts and rotate from day shift to night shift every 14 days.* Must be able to perform all job requirements in a non-climate-controlled environment.* Weekend work/overtime is required.Basic Qualifications* Must have a GED or High School Diploma or able to achieve passing scores on the Work Keys Skills Test administered by CareerSource Capital Region.* Must have the ability to communicate, read, and write.* Must have the ability to learn and understand oral and written instruction.* Must be dependable; have an acceptable work record including attendance.* Must have the physical dexterity to operate equipment and instrumentation.* Must demonstrate good interpersonal skills.* Must be capable of passing task certifications, and powder van driving test.* Must have a strong desire to work and have reliable transportation.* Must be able to successfully complete a comprehensive background check.* BATFE clearance required.* Must have a valid State Driver's License.
