Job Description:
JOB DESCRIPTION: Top Accountabilities: - Operating the facility per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs).
- Monitoring and controlling the process.
- Identifying and correcting deviations from standard process parameters.
- Reacting to abnormal conditions, breakdowns, and emergencies.
- Maintaining accurate process and inventory records.
- Adhering to Diageo USVI standards and Code of Business Conduct (COBC) policies. Role Responsibilities:
- Continually improving distillery operations and maintaining product quality to standard.
- Meeting or exceeding operational goals and site Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Optimizing yield and minimizing waste on assigned unit(s).
- Traverse up to 8 flights of stairs at least twice a shift to complete unit inspection and/or sampling.
- Lift 50lb ingredient bags in repetitive motion multiple times per shift.
- Complete walk about inspections across the distillery at least twice a shift or as needed.
- Any other tasks as needed to meet production demands. Skills:
- A minimum of two years' relevant process operating experience and/or the equivalent process technical training with demonstrated achievements.
- Demonstrated teamwork capability and can-do attitude.
- Demonstrated problem solving skills and commitment to safety.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work in a high-pace, high-pressure environment.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Knowledge of Root Cause Problem Solving (RCPS) or Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
- Knowledge of 5S, Lean Manufacturing Methods, and ISO 9000 Standards. Education:
- Minimum 18 years of age. High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
- Four years relevant experience working in any of the following processes: Fermentation, Distillation, Evaporation, Water Treatment, Fire Tube Boilers, Turbine, and/or Heat Recovery Steam Generator.
- Associates Degree in Process Technology or equivalent certification.
