The role: A production operator sets up and controls equipment used in the manufacturing process, focusing on safety, quality and production. The qualified candidate needs excellent technical, practical, and problem-solving skills. An operator must be able to troubleshoot the process and equipment and implement solutions and requires good decision-making and communication skills to effectively share information with operators from other shifts.The qualified candidate must be able to: (1) perform all jobs related to shipping, receiving and material handling; (2) drive fork trucks for material handling, shipping, receiving and order preparation; and (3) maintain a safe clean work area.Operators must be able to work days, afternoons, nights, weekends, various shift schedules and be available for overtime.Continuously perform quality checks. Keeping safety first while working in a team-oriented environment.The qualified candidate must be able to lift fifty pounds with continuous movement, sit, stand, reach, climb and bend.Protective gear including steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, high vis clothing in accordance with company policy is required.High School Diploma or GED required with relevant experience.
