Production Painter -1st & 2nd shiftSyracuse, NY ( TypeFull-timeDescription1st Shift: 6am - 2:30pm Monday - Friday2nd Shift: 2:15pm - 10:45pm Monday - FridayTheProduction Painterworking in the paint department's job is to perform the following applications on customer parts: Paint, Silk Screen, Dry Lube, and other organic applications. These applications are done to meet specifications, in the least waste way to maximize throughput.In This Role You Will:Has knowledge and ability to use painting and silk screen equipmentCapable of performing bondable paint requirements.Able to effectively perform masking responsibilities whenever needed.Maintains accurate inspection records and signs all witness lines and needed paperwork.Runs multiple jobs simultaneously, meeting quality, environmental, productivity, and safety standards.Uses test equipment to verify quality (permascope, gages, micrometers, etc.) of painting results.Visually inspects own parts for quality.Cleans paint and silk screen equipment to maintain optimum quality and increase productivity.Reads and interprets blueprints.Read and interpret Tech Data sheets, specification and MSDSEffectively performs painting functions according to traveler instructions under supervision.Keeps accurate account of own time and records in appropriate system.Performs daily department maintenance, startups, shut downs and PMsMonitors paint and MEK inventories and expiration dates. Communicates re-orders to purchasingPreviews all work coming into area to determine process, masking requirement, supplies needed, traveler information verification. Gets all travelers updated to assure process repeatability, may include photo taking, use of PIFs etc.Works on First Run Jobs and provides feedback to quality.RequirementsIn order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED is requiredCandidates must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and basic computer skills.Candidates must be able to regularly sit, stand, walk, bend, climb stairs and lift objects up to 50lbs.About Us:For over 60 years, Anoplate has provided metal finishing solutions in the aerospace, medical, military and high-end plating industries.
