Creating, tracking, communicating, and ensuring production plans are in place that meet customer requirements, as well as manufacturing needs.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Plan and prioritize operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delayDetermine manpower and equipment needs to support the production planCommunicate with Supply Chain to ensure materials are available as neededMonitor jobs to ensure they will finish as scheduledMaintain ongoing communication with all groups, as to the status of jobsAddress issues as they arise to minimize impact and support OTDMaintain status of production orders and ensure documentation is updated and accurateCreates reports and provides ongoing information to customer service on order statusCommunicates concerns or schedule delays to Customer ServiceCoordinate smooth functions of and interfaces daily with sales, customer service, quality and manufacturing to ensure all customer needs are addressed and customer delivery dates are met OTD.Participate in pre-release meetings of new product service orders as neededSupport implementation of manufacturing and procured materialsPlan materials to support production requirementsMonitor inventory levels to drive quick turn improvements and eliminate obsolete and excessive inventoryFollow up on late shipments, working with supplier quality resource as necessaryProvide a reliable forecast with updates as data changes to suppliers and internal managementProvide production scheduling in a lean manufacturing environment (labor and machining requirements)Communicate with all departments and levels of managementOther duties as assigned by managementRegular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job.Qualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
