Job Description:

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Production Planner to join their team. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment, with a background in sheet metal or CNC industries highly desirable. The Production Planner will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and timely production of goods by developing detailed schedules, managing resources, and ensuring the alignment of production activities with customer demand.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements and optimize production efficiency.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, procurement, and engineering teams to ensure all production needs are met.
  • Manage inventory levels and production resources to prevent shortages or delays.
  • Utilize MRP systems to track and manage materials, components, and production schedules.
  • Analyze and adjust production plans as necessary to accommodate changes in customer demand, production capacity, or materials availability.
  • Work closely with the quality control team to ensure that production meets quality standards.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and work to implement more efficient production processes.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience working for a manufacturing company, preferably in the metalworking, sheet metal fabrication or CNC machine tool industries.
  • Proficiency with MRP systems and production scheduling software.
  • High school diploma required; college degree in a related field preferred.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
