Ultium Cells Overview:Ultium Cells, LLC. is a joint venture Lithium-ion automotive battery cell manufacturing plant between LG Energy Solution, Ltd., and General Motors. This high-technology plant is a new construction that will have the latest in battery cell manufacturing technology. This $2.3 billion investment will be among the largest battery cell manufacturing plants in the world. Ultium Cells will produce battery cells for General Motors' North American electric vehicle applications.Ultium Cells' partners include LG Energy Solution, Ltd.; the world's largest manufacturer of automotive battery cells, and General Motors; a global company committed to delivering safer, better and more sustainable ways for people to get around.Position Description:As a Production Planner in the Electrode Department, you will play a pivotal role in monitoring production, yield, and managing projects. You will support our efficient and high-quality production process by streamlining of work processes to ensure efficiency in a dynamic startup environment, enhancing communication, and driving continuous improvement. The Electrode Department is the first step in creating our state-of-the-art batteries, making this a time-sensitive and detail-oriented role. You will collaborate closely with engineers, FSEs, and the Operations group to ensure timely project completion and seamless operations. Through this role, we expect you to act as a time-sensitive project manager and planner within the battery sector.Generate daily production and yield reports to monitor team productivity and provide actionable insights on production metrics. (using Davinci/PowerBI)Standardize processes and systemize procedures to enhance work efficiency and effectiveness.Organize and lead daily meetings within the Electrode Department, ensuring comprehensive meeting minutes and to-do lists are created and distributed for effective follow-up.Facilitate effective communication between parties (other departments, contractors, etc.) in both office and production environments.Develop performance-related content using Davinci/PowerBI to motivate operation and drive production efficiency.Conduct employee interviews to identify production issues and implement targeted improvements.Support the standardize training curriculum for engineers and operations teams to reduce losses due to human error and improve overall performance.Support the CEO of Ultium Cells and the Electrode Director by addressing their requirements.Job Responsibilities:Strong collaboration, planning, and communication skills to act as the team hub and achieve production targets.Bilingual proficiency in Korean and EnglishDemonstrated teamwork and effectiveness in accomplishing goals.Problem-solving skills, critical thinking ability, and time management skill.Willingness to learn new processes and systems.Project management experience and understanding manufacturing environment is a plus.Davinch (Spotfire), PowerBI skill is a plusProficiency with computers and Microsoft Office software.Bachelor's Degree preferred.Total Rewards Information:We offer market-competitive compensation including base pay and incentive compensation opportunities based on the achievement of Company goals.
