WHAT YOU WILL DO:

As a Materials Planner, you will play a crucial role in the successful execution of existing and new product development projects.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Demand Forecasting: Analyze production schedules, sales forecasts, and historical data to forecast material requirements and adjust plans accordingly.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure adequate supply without excess.
  • Supplier Coordination: Liaise with purchasing to ensure timely delivery of materials. Negotiate terms, place orders, and manage supplier relationships to resolve any issues.
  • Production Support: Collaborate with production and engineering teams to align material availability with production schedules. Address any material shortages or delays promptly.
  • Data Analysis: Utilize data analysis tools to track inventory trends, identify potential issues, and provide actionable insights to improve material flow and reduce costs.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on inventory status, material usage, and other key metrics to management.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in material planning and procurement.

WHAT YOU NEED:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum 2 years' experience preferred
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and ERP systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  • $75k-$85k annually
  • Onsite in Peabody, MA
