Volt is immediately hiring for Production Planner in EL PASO, TexasIf you would like to know a bit more about this opportunity, or are considering applying, then please read the following job information.As a Production Planner, you will be Responsible for:PlanningWork daily MRP exception messagesManage flow of material between supplier and plantEnsure materials are available for productionMeet the targets on days of inventoryExpedite Purchase Order with supplierCrisis shortage provide priority to the supplierMonthly review of vendor forecastReview Open order report with supplierUpdate in SAP purchase orders due datesReview and adjust MRP planning parameters such as safety stock, minimum lot sizes, rounding values, pallet quantities, lead times, lot sizing procedures, etc.Quarterly review of the replenishment strategy Kanban, ROP or MRPInterfaces with MPS Planners and Production SchedulerQualifications/Education/Experience:Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Engineering, Supply Chain Management or BusinessExperience with Material Requirements Planning (MRP), ERP / SAP, production scheduling, and inventory managementExperience working with SAP desirableStrong Microsoft Excel skillsSolid background in materials management / methodologyAdept at thinking on your feet, problem resolution, providing direction to multiple groups, resolving conflict, improving efficiencies, continuous improvementDownstream Flow ControllerDescriptionFollow up to SAP Planning order exceptions (past due, expedite, push out, cancel)Finished Good Production SchedulingPublish Daily Production PlanFollow up of Production orders status and barriersReview with kitting if they are having issues with materialReview if orders are converted in SAP, if not need to start converting planned orders to production ordersReviewing missing parts coming out in the release simulation to see if production could start working without themCreate missing parts file and request to Upstream team the estimate arrival timeRelease orders and prepare them to production, separate them by assembliesProduction Schedule AttainmentShift: Weekend shift- Thursday-Fri-Saturday, looking at 11-11.5 hours per shift.
