Title: Production PlannerLocation: Branchburg, NJHours / Schedule: M-F, Full Time, 8am - 5pm (some work with team in another time zone overseas)Type: Direct HireResponsibilities:The Production Planner organizes, and oversees all activities involved in the demand planning, identification, acquisition, production, and distribution of the company's goods. Act as main contact between sites in regards to manufacturing and ordering for site in New Jersey.Utilize various software tools (SAP, Microsoft Excel) to develop production planning and align production activities with delivery dates, customer orders and inventory levels.Collaborates with other departments and stakeholders to identify and maintain resources needed to establish and provide an effective supply chain.Monitor and report performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of factors affecting the supply chain.Develops 12-18 month rolling supply plan based of sales forecast on a monthly basisMaintains required quantity of supplies and materials to optimize production.Responsible for monthly analysis of the 12-month forecast, alerting the Sales Department when discrepancies between forecasted and actual sales trends are observedAnalyzes current inventories and procedures; suggests improvements to increase efficiency of supply chainDevelops policies to increase efficiency throughout the supply chain while ensuring quality and safety; implements subsequent changes to processes.Identifies best distribution of inventory across US warehouses to efficiently serviceAssesses the need for material-handling equipment and staffing; makes recommendations to ensure efficient loading, unloading, movement, and storage of materials.Participates as an advisory member of the product development team, providing information and guidance on availability and cost of supplies and material, production and Final product availabilityEnsures required sample stock for new customers is maintained to allow fast delivery and new business development.Review and report Manufacturing plant capacity and utilization based off supply and production plan.Identifies opportunities for process improvements in production planning and workflow efficiency.Performs other responsibilities as assigned.Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Business/Engineering or related field required;3+ years of experience at similar position required.EXP in manufacturing GMP setting, food/pharma a plusSAP/ERP/MRP ExperienceExcellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with a proven ability to create and maintain positive working relationships with vendors, suppliers, shippers, and customers.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. EXCEL ++++Thorough understanding of company products and logistics.
