Production Planner/Scheduler to join our Scottdale facility, specialized in producing high precision stainless and nickel alloy tube products to high demanding industries with aerospace and nuclear. In this role, you will drive operational efficiency by managing production schedules, ensuring on-time delivery, and coordinating resources to meet our customer demands.
What we expect from you is:Your primary mission is to plan, coordinate, and oversee production schedules to meet customer demands while optimizing resources, reducing downtime, and maintaining the highest quality standards. You will play a key role in optimizing processes and driving continuous improvement initiatives to maintain a smooth, reliable production flow that meets the highest standards of quality and performance.Your key responsibilities consist in:
- Order tracking and scheduling: Manage the production schedule, tracking each operation to ensure timely and efficient completion.
- Handle orders and spreadsheets: Oversee the management of current orders and ensure accurate tracking for management's manufacturing orders (MO's).
- Purchasing support: Assist with purchasing functions related to services and materials.
- Production scheduling: Review and distribute production, work, and shipment schedules to all relevant departments.
- Cross-department communication: Work closely with department leads to track progress, adjust schedules, and meet customer deadlines.
- Reporting: Compile and provide regular reports on production progress, inventory levels, costs, and any production-related challenges.
- Schedule revisions: Revise production schedules as needed in response to design changes, material shortages, and backlogs, collaborating with engineering and production teams to ensure smooth adjustments.
- Additional duties: Perform other related duties as required to ensure seamless production operations
About you:You bring a
proven successful track record in a manufacturing environment, particularly in
production scheduling/planning and
purchasing. A
Bachelor's degree is helpful but not required, as your practical experience speaks for itself. You have hands-on experience in
steel manufacturing environment, which is a valuable asset to this role. You are proficient in
Office 365, with advanced skills in
Excel to manage and analyze production data efficiently. Your
math skills are excellent, enabling you to work with complex data and ensure accuracy in planning. Additionally, you are fluent in
English, both written and spoken, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
