A manufacturing facility located in Napa is looking for a Production Planning and Expediting Clerk.
Job Title: Production Planning and Expediting Clerk
Pay Rate: Starting at $22 per hour. Competitive pay based on experience
Schedule: Monday-Friday 9am-5pm
The Production Planning and Expediting Clerk will oversee daily production schedules and manage purchasing-related functions to support production and administrative needs. This role ensures operational efficiency, timely delivery, and collaboration across teams to meet customer expectations.
Job Duties:
Job tasks include but are not limited to:
* Creating and managing daily production schedules.
* Processing production job tickets and prioritizing jobs based on customer requirements.
* Adjusting schedules based on staffing, resources, and deadlines.
* Scrubbing job tickets for accuracy and checking inventory for special components.
* Running MRP reports and discussing actions with the Plant Manager and Customer Service.
* Issuing and tracking plant purchase orders and resolving vendor issues.
* Measuring and reporting on-time delivery metrics, including root cause analysis.
* Facilitating daily and weekly production meetings with cross-functional teams.
* Coordinating with other facilities to address transfer work and reduce shortages.
Requirements:
* Strong organizational and analytical skills.
* Ability to multitask and work with minimal supervision.
* Proficiency in MRP systems (preferred but not required).
* Good attention to detail and quality.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Must be 18 years of age or older.
* Previous experience in production planning or manufacturing (preferred but not required).
