Our Automotive Technology business is passionate about the automotive industry and produces as well as markets high-tech automotive components worldwide. In 2003, our manufacturing facility was established in the South Industrial Park of Terre Haute, Indiana. SUMMARY: Plans and conducts activities concerned with the quality assurance of industrial processes, materials, and products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
* Plans and conducts the analysis, inspection, and tests to assure the quality of products. Includes incoming inspection, supports first/last piece inspection, IP testing, etc.
* Applies statistical process control (SPC) methods for analyzing data to evaluate the current process and process changes.
* Documents data obtained during all quality assurance activities, consistent with company policies and procedures.
* Contributes actively to the reduction of failure costs like scrap, downtime, and rework.
* Prepares reports to communicate involvement and results of quality assurance activities. Documents quality assurance activities, issues and solutions in LISP.
* Document and write SOs (sorting orders) for reporting defective material to SQE team.
* Directs technical and administrative workers engaged in quality assurance activities.
* Maintains a working knowledge of government, customer and industry quality assurance codes and standards.
* Stops production in case of a non-conformity.
* Supports production in case of quality issues, which are supplier or process related.
* Tracks and manages storage and flow of nonconforming and suspect material.
* Supports production in the assembly of high quality products while achieving all SQDC targets by representing Quality in SQDC.
* Applies problem solving methodology to ongoing issues on the shop floor.
Education and/or Experience:
Associates degree or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
