This Production Safety position is responsible for assisting with the development and implementation of health and safety programs and provides technical guidance and safety resource to Atlanta and other Gulf Coast-based film and television projects that are insured through the Disney Risk Management Program. It also provides a studio safety resource for all production-hired safety advisors on Atlanta and other Gulf Coast-based film and television **Responsibilities:**

* Locate, vet and recommend candidates to Disney Risk Management for lead production safety roles (employed by individual productions).

* Meet with producers and production management in early stages of prep to orient them on Disney safety program requirements

* Attend POD meetings and production meetings.

* Audit individual production-hired safety advisors (administrative audits as well as production facility and location audits) on a regular basis.

* Promote and audit programs/systems implemented by individual productions for required training, injury recording and tracking.

* Periodically review production-generated documents such as risk assessments and injury reports for quality assurance and make recommendations as needed.

* Attend tech surveys as needed.(subject to sufficient notice from production)

* Assist with locating, vetting and recommending vendors for various EH&S needs such as environmental testing and remediation, engineering surveys, work at height equipment and training etc.

* Review reports from specialists (environmental, engineering etc.) and make recommendations for remediation as necessary. Verify sufficient completion of remediation.

* Attend and participate in Industry-related organization meetings and events.

* Mentor less experienced production safety advisors.

**Basic Qualifications:**

* Minimum 5 years of experience film and television production safety in a lead role.

* Considered a subject matter expert in OSHA safety requirements and those of other regulatory bodies.

* Management experience and Proven team builder.

* Experience with asbestos and lead abatement projects.

* Experience air and water quality sampling procedures.

* Construction Design Management experience.

Investigation and reporting experience. **Required Education**

4 year degree, Bachelor of Science or equivalent experience in Environmental Health and Safety **Preferred Education**

Graduate Degree, Master of Science **Additional Information:**
