We are looking for a skilled Production Scheduler to help ensure customer orders are completed accurately, efficiently, and according to schedule. The team member in this role will build upon an infrastructure that supports the individual needs of our customers and contributes to our collaborative company culture. About the Position: The Production Scheduler will be responsible for developing and maintaining a production schedule. Providing timely planning and scheduling of manufacturing work orders to the manufacturing floor in order to achieve both internal financial goals and customer delivery dates. Duties/Responsibilities: Develop and maintain a production schedule, in a fit-for-use condition, that meets customer due dates and production goals. Participate in related meetings with the Production team. Working with the Production Manager and utilizing ERP system, generate and release work orders. Distribute work orders to appropriate work center supervisors for distribution to their teams. Assist supervisors to ensure that work orders are properly transacted and closed in a timely manner. Maintain manufacturing work center resources groups (run-rates) and provide related order planning resources (product lead times) to the Orders team for making accurate order due date projections. Monitor daily production activities and act as needed to ensure production schedule is kept. Collaborate with the Production team to ensure materials and resources are provided to meet schedule. Participate in root-cause analysis in instances where production objectives were not met, in order to obtain long-term resolution of related issues. Monitor stock inventory levels and adjust production schedules accordingly to meet demand while minimizing inventory levels (e.g. suggest changes to safety stock or order multiples, etc.). Assist as necessary in identifying and resolving inventory discrepancies. Review labor efficiencies and labor exceptions, and work with applicable departments so that work order bill of materials (BOMs) and routings are accurate. Monitor assigned key performance indicators (KPIs) and suggest corrective actions to the Production team or company management. Other job-related duties as assigned. Qualifications & Skills: Previous experience working in Manufacturing Production and knowledge of related industries. Proficient with computer systems and software applications. Experience with Infor CloudeSuite Industrial (ICSI) or similar ERP system is preferred. APICS Certified (CPIM) or similar preferred; required post placement. Working experience in related role(s) is preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and analytical skills. Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment and work well with internal customers. Valid Driver's License and ability to travel as needed to fulfill the role. Perform duties as assigned while following safety requirements, including wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Physical Demands: The employee must occasionally talk, hear, stoop, kneel, squat, push, pull, crouch, crawl and climb stairs. Ability to frequently sit, walk, and stand. Ability to lift up to 15 pounds of force occasionally. A 40-hour work week will be considered normal. Extra hours, working non-scheduled hours and extra workdays may be needed to accommodate changing production schedules, new projects, product development and other special situations. Compensation: $25-34/hour, pay is based on experience. Changes: This job description may be modified if duties and responsibilities change.
