Job Summary:The Production Scheduler is responsible for coordinating and developing daily, weekly and monthly production schedules to meet departmental goals. They monitor inventory levels and ensure necessary materials and components are provided for production.Essential Functions:Coordination: Collaborates with Quality and Production teams to ensure FIFO (First In, First Out) processes, material approvals, and proper material handling are executed as required.Daily Scheduling: Creates and maintains daily run schedules for the Extrusion & Fabrication processes, aligning with the monthly production plan.Cycle Counting: Conducts weekly cycle counts for Extrusion & Fabrication materials to ensure inventory accuracy and control, which is a key responsibility of this role.Process Improvements: Develops and implements improvements to streamline the material approval process.Shift Collaboration: Works closely with all three shifts in Extrusion and Fabrication to manage inventory and material flow effectively.Documentation: Develops and maintains Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to packaging, inventory approval, and departmental cycles.Oven Scheduling: Manages oven schedules to align with production demands.Additional Duties: Performs other duties as assigned by the Production Manager.Job-Related Functions:Strong proficiency in computer systems and mathematics is required.Adheres to all safety rules and regulations.Follows Kaizen and 5S procedures for continuous improvement and organization.Educational Requirements:High school diploma or GED required.Prior forklift experience is preferred.
