Production Scheduler/Purchasing
Location: Irvine, CA
Position Type: Long-term (12 months contract)
Schedule: Mon-Fri- 8AM- 5PM
Pay: $30-$36/HR
The Production Scheduler/Purchasing will be responsible for the tracking of key production indicators, determining manufacturing schedule to maintain optimum inventory levels, and ensuring an uninterrupted supply of raw materials as well as focusing on the dollar value of raw materials and finished goods inventories with intent to minimized investment
Responsibilities:
- Tracking key production indicators, determining manufacturing schedules to maintain optimum inventory levels, and ensuring an uninterrupted supply of raw m materials
- Review of daily inventory and sales report
- Issuance of weekly and monthly PSI reports and production schedules
- Focus on the dollar value of raw materials and finished goods inventories with the intent to minimize investment
- Interface with various departments - Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing, and Engineering to ensure schedule dates and requirements are being met
- Perform basic details scheduling duties as required
- Work with business units' management to ensure labor and equipment capacity is available to complete the schedule
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education with experience
- 2-4 years of related experience required
- Strong understanding of fundamental scheduling processes and controls
- Experience using computer-based materials software including MRP and SAP
- APICS Certificate a plus
