We boldly go.Job SummaryThe production scheduler is responsible for establishing, reviewing and maintaining the production schedule and related business tools, in alignment with the Master Production Schedule. As a team, we strive to exceed our customer (internal and external) expectations by providing excellent communication, on time delivery (materials and units), while driving continuous improvement initiatives by overcoming challenges, to surpass business metrics (revenue, inventory and turns, and freight).Responsibilities:•Understand and adhere to Supply Chain and Finance standard practices.•Work from oral or written Supply Chain and Finance instructions and procedures.•Maintain competency level of computer applications through company-provided training and materials.•Participate and support OPEX projects.•Adhere to all company safety and security policies and procedures.•Supports in monitoring and scheduling of production activity and the flow of materials to ensure timed production requirements are met.•Plans delivery timetables and communicates to customers.•Ensure inventory is in place for fulfilling orders.•Adjust production schedules based off backlogs, labor or material shortages.•Perform analysis or problem solving.•Manage new incoming orders and associated change orders.•Manage committed, released and total order backlogs.•Some overtime may be required.•Other Administrative or technical duties as required.Qualifications:•BS/BA degree in business or related field preferred. High School diploma and minimum of 1 year Supply Chain experience required.•Experience in supply chain planning, demand planning, production scheduling.•Must understand basic principles for business and finance.•Must be customer driven and quality-minded in performing all assigned duties.•Previous experience with production scheduling programs or related Supply Chain programs.•Working knowledge with ERP platforms, Microsoft Excel skillset to include pivot tables, lookup functions and charting.•Knowledge of manufacturing, quality control, production planning process, warehousing or inventory control.•Opex, Lean, Oracle experience preferred.•Experience with visual management systemsKey Competencies:•Ability to effectively make complex decisions with limited time and information and can determine decision making criteria based on priorities.•Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple disciplines.•Strong interpersonal skills and independent problem resolution.•Adaptable - adjusts to changing demands, priorities, and objectives•Strong analytical capabilities.•Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.•Comfortable with leading discussion and debate within peer group•Must be able to function in a team environment and independently.•Good skills in the following competencies: creativity, team building, planning and organizing, communication, critical thinking, conscientious.We offer competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits and programs.
