RESPONSIBILITIES:Review setup specification and staffing schedule to determine proper set-upInspect equipment, while checking parts for any damage, or leakageAssembles equipment according to product run, including performing lockout/tagout as requiredConducts first piece inspection to ensure conformance to product specificationsConducts operational audits every 15 minutes throughout production to ensure proper product specificationsOperate equipment at the end of the Pure Link LinePerform final inspection of products before sending to the WarehouseReport any product deficiencies to the area supervisorOperate power jack equipmentLockout/tagout equipment as neededBe knowledgeable about CCPUse AX software to add finished goods inventory and for raw materials inventory controlsBe willing to be cross trained within department to cover responsibilities if requiredOther duties as assignedREQUIREMENTS:To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorilyAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondences, and memos in English\Must have basic mathematical skillsCapable of using basic software programs related to AXCapable of regularly lifting and /or move up to 70 lbs. and occasionally lift or move up to 75 lbsAbility to work on production floor; a wet, cold, and loud environmentPrevious blending experience is highly preferredCandidate must be willing and able to learn every position in department to be able to cover any position when neededCompany OverviewKayem Foods is a family owned and operated craft meat business that has been making New England's favorite franks, sausages, and prepared meats in Chelsea, Mass. since its founding by Kaz Monkiewicz back in 1909.
