Job Type Full-timeDescriptionPosition Summary: Directs and coordinates activities of workers engaged in safely and efficiently operating and optimizing production equipment. Shift Days and Hours: This shift will run from Sunday at 10PM to 6AM Friday mornings. If overtime is needed the week will end on Saturday at 6AM instead of Friday at 6AM. Must be able to work on 1st or 2nd shift if needed for additional help or training.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily; other duties may be assigned.
- Helps manufacturing staff achieve company goals by communicating expectations, planning, monitoring, and evaluating job results
- Enforces company policies and guidelines
- Reports safety related issues for all production areas and equipment
- Recruits, hires, and trains employees
- Assists workers by offering personal growth opportunities
- Implements cost-saving strategies and techniques
- Ensures that production plans are completed by a certain time
- Ensures that product complies with internal and external quality requirements
- Counsel's employees on how to achieve an optimal output or workflow
- Resolves issues and disputes between manufacturing employees
- Communicates with and assists other manufacturing departments as needed
- Evaluates the condition of production equipment and makes and/or requests repairs and adjustments as necessary to meet customer demand.
- Maintains a clean and safe environment for all workers; meets 6S requirements
- Compiles and analyzes production records
- Confirmation and completion of Production Orders in SAP
- Support activities involving ISO14001 and IATF 16949
- Perform other duties as required or assigned
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- 2+ years management experience
- 2+ years machine operation experience
- Root cause analysis knowledge
- Lean manufacturing knowledge
- Coaching and conflict resolution experience
- Production and KPI reporting
- 365 Office and productivity applications experience
- Basic knowledge of SAP or equivalent ERP System
Education/Experience: Associates degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or 2 - 3 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Certificates and Licenses:
- Six Sigma Green Belt or higher - Preferred
Travel: Must be willing and able to travel to Germany as needed for collaboration with the global production team, training, and project-related tasks. A valid passport and the ability to travelSupervisory Responsibilities: Directly supervises two or more employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
