Position SummarySchedule: Monday - Friday (3:00pm - 11:30pm) The Production Site Supervisor will be responsible for providing oversight and ensuring safe and efficient operations of the building while embracing and sustaining our culture. This role is critical in maintaining safe and efficient operations while meeting daily goals and objectives. Communication will be key as this position will overlap information needing to be shared between shift supervisors. An ideal applicant will be highly skilled, consistently punctual and enjoy working with a variety of individuals who share similar values and goals. General Duties/Responsibilities
  • Serve as a champion for safety culture.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct safety inspections of packaging equipment and work areas.
  • Respond to all safety hazards or incidents and report them to the Packaging and Warehouse Manager immediately.
  • Participate in safety training sessions and contribute to a culture of safety awareness.
  • Recognize and appreciate the responsibility that you represent on behalf of the Company to the Employee.
  • Understand production schedule and assign all work to be done in order to meet it.
  • Ensure the team has appropriate resources needed to be successful on your shift and set up the next shift for success.
  • Communicate all scheduling concerns to the manager.
  • Validate that all lines are CIP'd and set-up properly with correct product labeling and correct packaging information as required.
  • Test Brite tanks for carbonation levels, make adjustments to C02 levels, and document results in digital logs as well as email and ensure they are ready for packaging.
  • Routinely walk and scan the facility floor to ensure all departments are working safely with efficiency in mind.
  • Perform daily pre & post-shift inspections and identify and correct any problem areas prior to production begins.
  • Coordinates prioritization of product manufacturing and equipment troubleshooting needs.
  • Oversee all employees on shift to ensure they are wearing PPE, performing their duties according to Good Manufacturing Practices and following all standard operating procedures.
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
  • Enforce and adhere to all SQF requirements.
  • Support operators with troubleshooting and resolving equipment problems and other production issues.
  • Identify issues that may arise during your shift and take corrective action; escalate matters to the relevant managers for resolution and communication.
  • Reports all exceptions to product and or ingredient quality based on the seriousness/urgency of the situation to the appropriate manager's.
  • Troubleshoot/Communicate mechanical issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Participate in and coordinate changeovers with production when necessary.
  • Ensure that the products are safe and meet the customer specifications.
  • Follow and complete the daily production schedule, including changes that may occur during the course of the shift; report changes in real time to the appropriate group.
  • Responsible for meeting machine efficiency and effectiveness which is measured in downtime percentage, containers per minute and process failures.
  • Assist in performing new hire recruiting and training.
  • Develop competencies in all work areas and participate in coaching and/or disciplining employees that are having difficulties and/or behavioral issues
  • Cover packaging breaks as needed.
  • Ability to stand in for another Manager in their absence.
  • Lead and support Autonomous Maintenance initiatives.
  • Ensure the completion and accuracy of all paperwork and virtual data systems including but not limited to the ERP.
  • Maintain a clean and organized working environment.
Food Safety and Quality Responsibilities
  • Follow GMP policy when in the production facility and coach your team to do the same.
  • Understand our SQF policies relating to pest control, visitors, allergen management, and cleaning and sanitation.
  • Demonstrate awareness of Management's Commitment to SQF and work towards Food Safety and Quality and help the company meet this commitment.
  • If there is a problem that involves food quality and safety, report to the Quality Assurance Manager Manager so that the CAPA (corrective action, preventative action) log may be filled out, the situation be investigated, and resolved with the goal of continuous improvement of food quality and safety.

  • Extended shifts, overtime, and weekends may be needed based on business needs
  • Flexibility in work hours is necessary to meet operational demands
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 2 years of leadership experience preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of manufacturing experience Required, food manufacturing experience preferred
Work Environment/Physical Requirements
  • 30 minute unpaid lunch break; two 15 minute paid breaks
  • Ability to work in a crowded, noisy manufacturing production facility, navigate extremes in temperatures, walking on uneven, and slippery surfaces
  • Standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting and maneuvering heavy equipment and/or parts, up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally with assistance
  • Ability to safely navigate around manufacturing equipment, and forklift and pallet jack traffic
