Full-time, 1st Shift: 6:00am-2:00pm Monday-FridayFull-time, 2nd Shift: 2:00pm-10:00pm Monday-FridayProduction Specialist plays a critical role in the fabrication of foam-based products. This position involves various tasks related to the manufacturing process, including cutting, shaping, and assembling foam components. Position Responsibilities:
- Foam Cutting and Shaping: Operate die cut and other cutting machines and tools to precisely cut and shape foam materials according to production specifications.
- Quality Control: Inspect foam products for defects, ensuring they meet quality standards before moving to the next stage of production.
- Material Handling: Safely handle and transport raw materials and finished products within the production area.
- Package and wrap finished product, manipulate product on table to position it so that it can be wrapped according to customer specifications, count and track number of product wrapped
- Moving finished and unfinished goods using equipment such as pallet jacks. Communicate with work station coworker to ensure that goods are complete and ready for movement to next work cell.
- Receive, shake and inspect foam and prepare for next staging area, carefully handle the foam to avoid rips, cuts or tears.
- Follow safety guidelines and protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment; report any safety concerns or incidents promptly.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, including the proper disposal of waste materials and the recycling of reusable components.
- Work collaboratively with team members and communicate effectively to ensure smooth production flow and meet production targets.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment, particularly in foam fabrication, is preferred but not required.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including standing for extended periods, lifting, and repetitive movements.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure precision in cutting, shaping, and assembling foam components.
- Mechanical Aptitude: Basic mechanical aptitude and the ability to learn how to operate various manufacturing machines and tools.
- Team Player: Willingness to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
- Safety Conscious: Commitment to following safety protocols and contributing to a safe working environment.
