Job Description:
Full-time, 1st Shift: 6:00am-2:00pm Monday-FridayFull-time, 2nd Shift: 2:00pm-10:00pm Monday-Friday

Production Specialist plays a critical role in the fabrication of foam-based products. This position involves various tasks related to the manufacturing process, including cutting, shaping, and assembling foam components.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Foam Cutting and Shaping: Operate die cut and other cutting machines and tools to precisely cut and shape foam materials according to production specifications.
  • Quality Control: Inspect foam products for defects, ensuring they meet quality standards before moving to the next stage of production.
  • Material Handling: Safely handle and transport raw materials and finished products within the production area.
  • Package and wrap finished product, manipulate product on table to position it so that it can be wrapped according to customer specifications, count and track number of product wrapped
  • Moving finished and unfinished goods using equipment such as pallet jacks. Communicate with work station coworker to ensure that goods are complete and ready for movement to next work cell.
  • Receive, shake and inspect foam and prepare for next staging area, carefully handle the foam to avoid rips, cuts or tears.
  • Follow safety guidelines and protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment; report any safety concerns or incidents promptly.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation, including the proper disposal of waste materials and the recycling of reusable components.
  • Work collaboratively with team members and communicate effectively to ensure smooth production flow and meet production targets.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment, particularly in foam fabrication, is preferred but not required.
  • Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including standing for extended periods, lifting, and repetitive movements.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure precision in cutting, shaping, and assembling foam components.
  • Mechanical Aptitude: Basic mechanical aptitude and the ability to learn how to operate various manufacturing machines and tools.
  • Team Player: Willingness to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
  • Safety Conscious: Commitment to following safety protocols and contributing to a safe working environment.

Skills

  • Proficiency in operating and maintaining machinery and equipment relevant to the specific production or fabrication processes.
  • Competence in using hand tools, power tools, and precision instruments for cutting, shaping, and assembling materials.
  • Physical endurance to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks .
  • Flexibility: Willingness to adapt to changes in production processes, materials, or work conditions.
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems that may arise during the production process.
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail to ensure the quality and consistency of finished products.
  • Basic Computer Proficiency: Familiarity with using computers for tasks such as data entry, inventory tracking, and operating computerized machinery; able to use an iPad to enter information into ERP system
