Location: all cities,NC, USA
The incumbent is responsible for operating and maintaining the winder machinery, as well as other equipment at the state-of-the-art fiber glass mat plant in Oxford, NC. Must possess a thorough understanding of the operation of the winder and its complexities.
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:**
+ Operate all winder equipment, to include setting of up of the mandrel within product requirements and the winder control system.
+ Set slitters and ensure they are within specifications.
+ Understanding and operation of the various systems used as part of the winder machinery.
+ Perform start-up of Winder by threading the machine.
+ Monitor products and take appropriate actions on all defects to ensure quality.
+ Log all pertinent information and data into computer.
+ Maintain a properly cleaned area in and around the winder.
+ Assist with product and process changes, along with start-up and shut-down processes.
+ Perform Visual inspection of finished products.
+ Must work in a manner that is safe while continuously ensuring quality, production, and performance

+ Participation and completion of required Environmental, Health and Safety training. Responsible for performing SMAT observations and other audit programs, cleaning, painting, and maintaining 5S system.
+ Responsible for observing safety precautions at all times and reporting any environmental incidents to their supervisor.
+ Responsible for performing assigned tasks as specified in the environmental procedures and work instructions.
+ Waste must be placed in appropriate designated labeled containers and lid must be properly closed after disposal of waste. Examples of waste are chemical, oily rags,aerosol cans, empty paint cans.-
+ The incumbent is responsible for performing assigned duties until properly relieved.
+ Performs related miscellaneous work as required, and as instructed by other supervision.
**EQUIPMENT OPERATED:**
+ Mobile Equipment, Plant Cranes & Misc. Equipment
+ Scanners, Computers, Printers, Phones, Cameras, Hand Tools, Power Tools, Safety Equipment, Quality Equipment
+ High School Diploma/GED
+ 1-2 Years minimum Forklift Operating Experience
+ Current Forklift License
+ Industrial Manufacturing Experience preferred / Computer Literacy
+ 1 year minimum of manufacturing experience
+ Score the minimum score established by the company on a computer literacy test
+ Good working knowledge of plant/Production policies, procedures.
+ Good oral communication skills
+ Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
+ Able to support disaster recovery plans to ensure customers receive uninterrupted service during times of crisis.
+ Excellent Attendance Practices Required
+ Ability to deal calmly and effectively with high stress situations, sensitivity to other's needs and maintain a positive demeanor.
+ Travel is required (up to 30%) for learning purposes. Once the site is running in NC, travel requirements significantly drop.
