Production Staff for School of Performing and Visual ArtsThe University of Southern Mississippi is currently accepting applications for the position of Production Staff for School of Performing and Visual Arts.Position Details Location Hattiesburg118 College DriveHattiesburg, Mississippi, 39406-0001United States Division School of Performing and Visual Arts Position Type Staff Employment Status Part Time Grant Funded No Posting Close Date May 31, 2025Special Instructions to ApplicantsPositions are available as necessary for production season.Job SummaryThis position supports production needs in the School of Performing and Visual Arts, including stage management, production management, technical direction, lighting design, sound design, costume design, musical direction and accompaniment, choreography and movement specialists, gallery installation, exhibition support, other artistic and performance mediums and skills, etc.Primary Duties and Responsibilities* Work in specific role in the artistic education and production process under the direction of regular faculty or staff.* Attend all required meetings, rehearsals, etc.* Complete all assigned tasks on time and in an efficient manner.* Work collaboratively in the artistic education and production process.* Respond in a timely manner to faculty and staff communications.* Performs other duties as assigned.Minimum QualificationsExperience in specific areas in the artistic education and production process. Demonstrated knowledge of practical application of specific skills, including management, design, performance, installation, etc.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities* Specific knowledge of any relevant equipment in area of production, including light boards, sewing machine, scene shop tools, etc.Preferred QualificationsStrong communication skills and demonstrated ability to work with others.About The University of Southern MississippiSince our founding in 1910, The University of Southern Mississippi has remained dedicated to preparing students for success.
