Job Description SummaryUnder limited supervision, this position provides assistance for Bailey Hall events in conjunction with the Events Manager and Staff. Assist with activities and workflow of all ushers during Bailey Hall performances. Collaborates with Box Office, security, maintenance, production crew, and other campus departments as needed to provide required security, safety, and comfort. Assist with behind-the-scenes tasks to include costume and set design, build and repair scenery, including moving parts.This is a temporary part-time position that works as needed.Expected to work a schedule that typically includes evenings, weekend afternoons/evenings, and occasionally some morning shifts. Due to the nature of performing arts events, scheduling flexibility is required.
Minimum Education:- High School education or an equivalent required
Minimum Experience/Training:- Administrative support, office or related experienceTwo to four years of experience
Essential Functions:- Provides assistance with Bailey Hall events in conjunction with the Events Manager and Staff.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:- Strong knowledge, understanding and skills in area of responsibility; including an understanding of concepts and principles of related areas and functions.
- Knowledge of ADA regulations, theatrical production processes, and basic theatrical terminology.
- Basic knowledge of dramatic literature, art, music, and/or dance; bookkeeping; box office procedures, and ticketing software.
- Exemplary customer service skills combined with persistence and patience in working with various groups of people and maintaining a professional, upbeat attitude.
- Strong organizational, attention to detail, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage own work to job and performance standards. Ability to participate as an active team member.
- Ability to remain level-headed, resolve multiple challenges and requests in an extremely fast-paced, demanding environment.
- Ability to repeatedly walk up and down stairs; occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to lead a group of employees
- Ability to use a two-way communication device
- Requires intermediate to advanced knowledge of computer systems, i.e. Microsoft Office Products as well as specialized computer systems.
