At Associated Materials / Alside, your contributions will provide an immediate and lasting impact, helping us achieve what is possible.POSITION SUMMARY:The Production Supervisor is responsible for supervising staff to produce manufactured products and organizes and monitors workflow.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Coach and lead Associates to drive safety, housekeeping, quality, delivery, and productivity targets
- Demonstrate equipment operations to new employees or assign training
- Collaborate with supervisors to coordinate operations between departments and other operational and leadership duties as assigned
- Accomplishes manufacturing results by communicating job expectations
- Maintains workflow by monitoring and upgrading processes, setting processing variables, observing control points and equipment, monitoring personnel and resources, studying methods, implementing cost reductions, developing reporting procedures and systems, facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points, and initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments
- Supports all areas of the production plan
- Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing production standards
- Creates and revises systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control, and implementing change
- Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources, and maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
- Experience with continuous flow manufacturing and labor paced production
- Experience in a made to order environment
- Experience in team building and management
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- Demonstrate integrity, flexibility, sound judgement, and good critical thinking skills
