Ridley Feed Ingredients, an Alltech company, has a long history of providing research-based nutrition products and innovative support services to help producers of meat, milk and eggs increase productivity and profitability. We are accepting resumes for the full-time position of 3rd shift (9:30 PM - 6:00 AM) Production Supervisor at our Mendota, IL location. This position reports to the Plant Manager.Primary Duties:
- Lead the daily production activities for 3rd shift
- Lead daily shift meetings
- Provide monthly safety and quality trainings
- Active leadership role on plant safety committee
- Perform internal safety and quality audits ensuring compliance with programs and policies
- Develop colleagues through training and mentoring
- Lead safety and quality initiatives
- Manage packaging and ingredient inventory as it relates to production and operations
- Communicate effectively with the production scheduler, customer service and quality teams
- Maintain organization and cleanliness throughout the department and warehouse
- Assist with leading capital improvement projects
- Lead positive change through continuous improvement
Qualifications:
- B.S. or Associates degree
- Knowledge of the feed industry
- Experience in a supervisory role for a minimum of 2 years
- Solid computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office and ERP systems
- Experience in a LEAN manufacturing environment
- Experience motivating staff through good communication
