Job Description:

My client is a seeking an individual with chemical production supervisory expertise that will be a valuable team player to the customer-focused chemicals production department.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Train Production Operators to minimize yield loss, inventory variances, and produce consistent quality finished goods
  • Oversee the loading of bulk materials into process cells according to batch sheet (BOM) instructions.
  • Issue the batch tickets to ensure the correct finished good SKU's are being produced per the BOM and formula
  • Ensure accurate packaging and labeling of the finished product according to the (BOM) instructions.
  • Author and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) in production practices
  • Enforce and adhere to all OSHA safety standards on the manufacturing floor
  • Initiate inventory transactions for the moving of materials in and out
  • Carry out month-end inventory counts for accounting
  • Coordinate company asset maintenance schedules such as truck inspections, storage tank repairs, propane refills, and so forth.
  • Ensure product and process effectiveness, purity, and quality control of finished goods
  • Responsible for determining, implementing, and maintaining the quality control standards of manufactured products.
  • Spearhead the deployment of new formulas, UOM schedules, and Bill of Materials for all finished good items
  • Responsible for forecasting orders and planning supply chain purchases accordingly.
  • Prepare product labels and SDS sheets
  • Place internal orders for consumables to maintain lab stock and an accurate warehouse inventory

Prerequisite Skills

  • Ability to follow and communicate written and verbal instructions
  • Working well in a team situation with others
  • Proficient in Data Entry
  • Experience in applying chemistry principles and concepts
  • Dependable, trustworthy, truthful, and credible in the workplace.
  • Well-Versed in GMP and chemical HAZMAT handling.
  • Knowledge of solutions and mixtures
  • Must be very organized, and able to follow systematic procedures and instructions
  • Ability to multi-task and function effectively in a fast-paced environment
