Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Production Supervisor in our automotive manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will oversee specific cell production activities, ensure compliance with quality standards, implement process improvements, and support the development of lean manufacturing practices. This role will involve auditing check sheets, managing attendance, monitoring training programs, and filling in for floor supervisors when needed. Reports to the Operations Manager.Required Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or minimum of 5 years of solid shop floor Manufacturing experience in a lead role.
  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality standards, and lean principles.
  • Proven leadership abilities with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively.
  • Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and implement solutions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and maintain attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in automotive manufacturing or related industry preferred
  • Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Monitor production process flow to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met within the designated product line. Support short- and long-term plant and companywide goals, Key Performance Indicators (KPI) strategies. Work closely with Hydro maintenance and outside contractors on various projects.
  • Conduct audits using check sheets to ensure compliance with quality specifications and identify areas for improvement. Support the EHS process to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Ensure effective communication in the group: strategy, goals and actions necessary to achieve. Attend shift hand off to effectively communicate ongoing issues and address deficiencies or quality concerns.
  • Track and manage attendance records, ensuring adequate staffing levels to meet production demands.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of training programs to improve employee skills and performance.
  • Step in for Operation Manager as needed to ensure continuity of operations and provide leadership to supervisor team.
  • Maintain accurate records of production metrics, attendance, and training activities.
