Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Production Supervisor to lead and coach our teams in safety, quality, and productivity in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role ensures that standardized work is followed, throughput is optimized, and team members are capable of meeting production objectives. The successful candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with strong leadership and communication skills, able to create a positive and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coach team members in Safety, Quality, and Productivity to meet operational objectives by following standardized work processes.
- Optimize production throughput to meet budgetary and cost objectives.
- Monitor ANDON occurrences and act as the first responder for secondary support to resolve issues quickly.
- Perform Process Confirmation to verify the safe and smooth operation of production lines, ensuring quality output.
- Support Continuous Improvement initiatives (Kaizen) and coach problem-solving to the lowest level within the team.
- Achieve targets for First Time Through (FTT), inventory, cost, scrap, supply, and tooling expenses.
- Build and enhance the capabilities of Team Leaders and Team Members through coaching and development.
- Foster a positive and conducive work environment, promoting effective communication and recognition.
- Handle basic supervisory administrative responsibilities, including documentation and reporting.
Skills Required:
- Ability to work any shift, including rotating shifts and weekends.
- Independent work capability with limited supervision.
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and administrative skills.
- Experience in managing a unionized workforce, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and throughput processes.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
- Proven leadership skills with effective interpersonal, team-building, and communication skills.
Experience Required:
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Experience Preferred:
- Experience in body shop, stamping, paint, or subassembly environments.
- Prior experience in Safety and Quality initiatives.
- Familiarity with constraint management principles.
- Previous management experience with a unionized workforce.
Education Required:
- High School Diploma or GED.

Additional Information:
- Must be able to work rotating crew patterns, including overtime as required.
- Supervisors are expected to work before and after their assigned crew hours.
Crew Patterns:
- A-Crew: Monday - Thursday, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM.
- B-Crew: Tuesday - Friday, 6:00 PM - 4:30 AM.
- C-Crew: Friday/Saturday, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Sunday/Monday, 6:00 PM - 4:30 AM.
