Job Description:

thyssenkrupp Materials, NA is looking for a new Production Supervisor for our upcoming New Mexico location. This is a great opportunity to join a growing team and one of the largest materials providers ! Our industries include but not limited to industrial, aerospace, medical, oil and gas, power distribution, defense and more!

What will you be responsible for: We are looking for a proactive and experienced Production Supervisor to lead our operations at the new plant opening. This role involves overseeing production processes, managing teams, and ensuring that we meet quality and efficiency standards from day one.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Monitor daily production operations to ensure targets are met while maintaining quality and safety standards.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and conduct regular inspections to maintain product integrity.
  • Create and manage production schedules, allocating resources effectively to meet demand.
  • Promote a culture of safety by ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations and conducting regular safety audits.
  • Prepare and present production reports, highlighting key metrics and areas for improvement.
  • Supervise and mentor production staff, fostering a positive work environment and promoting teamwork.
  • Performs other job duties as may be assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • 5 years' experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong understanding of production processes, quality control, and safety regulations.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in production management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a plant startup or new facility opening.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
  • Six Sigma or other quality certification is a plus.
