Position OverviewProduction Supervisor is responsible for the safety, quality, training, development, and productivity of the personnel on their shift.ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Leading the day-to-day operations of their shift in the converting department
- Ensuring that employees work safely and follow all plant rules and policies.
- Maintain quality, efficiencies, and production levels set by management. Communicate these standards to employees.
- Identify improvement opportunities and assist with problem solving activities.
- Assess the performance and training of converting personnel and determine areas for improvement.
- Providing training, development and feedback for employees.
- Establish high morale in area of responsibility by showing fairness and consistency when working with all employees. Maintain confidentiality.
- Maintain inventories of sheets, inks and other converting supplies.
- Oversee quality checks including box checks in production processes.
- Conduct Production/Safety/Quality meetings with departmental personnel.
- Monitors and maintains housekeeping throughout the plant.
- Additional duties may be assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Associates degree preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as the ability to drive change.
- Ability to solve process and production issues independently.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Experience with MS Office to include Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- 1-3 years of demonstrated leadership experience required.
- 3-5 years in a manufacturing environment required.
- 5 years corrugated experience with a strong background in Flexo folder gluers preferred.
- Knowledge of KIWI software a plus.
- Must be able to work 2nd or 3rd shift.
- Must be available to work weekends
