Job Description:

Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Production Supervisor to oversee and coordinate the activities of team members involved in various production processes. In this role, you will manage the daily operations, ensuring that production targets are met and that processes run smoothly, while maintaining high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze work orders to estimate labor hours and create schedules to meet production needs, including planning and executing production plans.
  • Calculate the necessary stock and materials based on schedules and requisition materials from storage.
  • Approve work, provide area clearances, and create necessary documentation such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and batch records.
  • Interpret and communicate SOPs, specifications, and job orders to workers, and assign tasks accordingly.
  • Plan material flow through the department and develop efficient layouts for processes.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure customer deadlines are met.
  • Inspect and measure products to ensure they meet specifications.
  • Supervise adjustments to machinery and equipment to fix any issues with products that don't meet standards.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.
  • Suggest improvements in working conditions and equipment usage to increase departmental efficiency.
  • Analyze and resolve work problems or assist team members in resolving issues.
  • Maintain accurate time and production records.
  • Assist in developing justifications for new equipment and process technologies to improve quality, cost, and cycle times.
  • Estimate, requisition, and inspect materials as necessary.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Directly supervise employees in the production department, ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training employees, planning and assigning work, performance evaluations, and handling disciplinary actions.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3+ years of experience in a lead or supervisory role.
